Bonnie Gayle Sparks, a born and raised Texan, began her acting career in Houston in 2013. Now she works in markets across the country in projects ranging from big-budget series, to small budget indies, to national & regional commercial campaigns.
She is best known for her recurring role as Jo Ann Garlington in HBO Max's Love & Death (2023), appearing alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, and Lily Rabe. Her television work also includes a guest star role on Leverage: Redemption (2023).
Her debut feature, Camino (2016), earned her a Best Breakout Performance Award at the Victoria Texas Independent Film Festival. Additional film credits include the indie comedy Monday (2018)—featured on Robert Rodriguez's Rebel Without a Crew (2018)—and the title role in Grace (2019), a short film based on the true stories of sex-trafficking survivors. She will next appear in Peaking (2027), a comedy feature written and directed by Brent Pella.
Often compared to Daisy-Edgar Jones, Shailene Woodley, and Grace Van Patten, Bonnie Gayle fits seamlessly into edgy raw dramas as well as grounded dark comedies.
Her commercial campaigns include Ford, Raising Cane's with Snoop Dogg, Dominos, Jamba Juice, Whataburger, and more.
She is the co-founder of Sparks Productions LLC with actor and husband Vance Sparks, where they develop and produce original work, including the award winning micro-short Bad Girl (2024).
When she's not filming or traveling in her full-time living luxury RV, she edits actor demo reels (see the Editing Services tab) and instructs ongoing weekly acting classes at The Artists Playground in Dallas, Texas (see the Acting Workshops tab).
Bonnie Gayle is proud board member of the SAG-AFTRA Dallas-Fort Worth Local.
