Bonnie Gayle Sparks, a born and raised Texan, began her acting career in Houston in 2013. Now she works in markets across the country in projects ranging from big-budget series, to small budget indies, to national & regional commercial campaigns.
Most notably, she played recurring character Jo Ann Garlington alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, and Lily Rabe in the true crime limited series, Love & Death (2023) on Max.
Her first feature film, Camino (2016), earned her a Best Breakout Performance Award at The Victoria Texas Independent Film Festival. Other notable credits include a guest star on Amazon Prime's Leverage: Redemption (2023), indie comedy Monday (2018), the making of which was documented in Robert Rodriguez's reality series Rebel Without A Crew (2018), the titular role of Grace (2019), a short film depicting the true story of a sex-trafficking survivor, and a leading role in the upcoming action feature, Shell Game (2026), from actor/director Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy).
Often compared to Daisy-Edgar Jones, Shailene Woodley, and Amy Adams, Bonnie Gayle fits seamlessly into edgy raw dramas as well as grounded dark comedies.
Her commercial campaigns include Raising Cane's with Snoop Dogg, Choctaw Casino with Troy Aikman, Dominos Pizza with Lacey Evans, Jamba Juice, Heartgard, Cooks Children's Hospital, Whataburger, and more.
She goes by both Bonnie and Bonnie Gayle ever since she added Sparks to her name by marrying her best friend and fellow actor, Vance Sparks. Together they recently founded Sparks Productions LLC, and released their first micro-short, Bad Girl (2024), in which they both star. They are both proud board members of the SAG-AFTRA Dallas-Fort Worth Local.
When she's not filming or traveling in her full-time living luxury RV, she edits actor demo reels (see the Editing Services tab) and instructs ongoing weekly acting classes at The Artists Playground in Dallas, Texas (see the Acting Workshops tab).
